We all have health and like life our health may not follow a smooth or straight path. It has twists and turns it has hi points and low points but it to continues. The choices we make effect our health evey day.
We also have goals we try to reach with our health. This is a great thing... setting goals is a great step in moving forward in our lives and health. Be careful though and don't make the goal an end point. In other words pay attention to how you are achieving your goals more than you are about the goal itself.
For example-Your goal is to lose 30 pounds in 3 months-that is a very realistic goal and very achievable. But if you focus on the number-get to that number- then what? If you focus on the steps you take along that 12 week journey then not only will you have more chances of success but an even better chance to lose more (if wanted or needed). And better yet have a much better chance of success in keeping those pounds off. In other words, no matter what the goal or for that matter if you reach that goal, what is important is what we learn along the journey.
I ran into a friend yesterday that I haven't see in awhile. I asked if he was working out. He said no, he was coming to watch his kids swim. I offered for him to come join my AquaboxingTM class and get some exercise to get in better shape. He responded by saying( jokingly) that round is a shape( he is not very round...a little soft but not round). I laughed and said "that's true". I then responded by asking the question "Is that the shape you want?"
So whatever shape you choose to have and maintain pay attention to the process and enjoy the journey!
REMEMBER,
YOU ARE THE DIFFERENCE!!!
