There is truly so much information at our finger tips and
because we have become such a society of "needing" instant gratification we take the information we find and we run with it. Unfortunately, we discover we can't run very far. Don't get me wrong there is a lot of terrific information out there, however the information that is chosen is either the wrong information for the moment, mis-information or misused information.
It is important to look at the information from a balanced and responsible point of view.
For example if you are having issues or have questions about your diet do you think you would get better informed or useful information from a dietitian or from a brain surgeon?
If you had question let's say concerning depression do you think bullet point information on the internet would be better than talking to a psychologist or psychiatrist?
NO!
Much of the information ( especially on the internet) we get usually isn't from a professional. It is usually some bullet point or quick reference from wikipedia or pintrest or something. And we take this information as if it is the "magic bullet" that will "fix" us. It's not all the answer! Because we are "morphs" the answer isn't going to be that simple.
Now places like this are a good beginning-to get the basics- but to look at this type of information as the latest and the greatest is not being responsible or true to ourselves. Start with the basics then ask a professional who has a knowledge base or education in the area of question you are looking for answers. Not all the professionals in the world do it, or see it, or practice it the same way. So ask several professionals not just one- then look at the information from the stand point of what is effective, responsible and "true for me"!
There is good information and better professionals out there to help answer our questions...don't go to the plumber to re-wire your house!!!
Get to know yourselves, trust yourselves and accept yourselves then look at and decide
what information best suits you and serves the best interest for your complete health!
Remember...
YOU ARE THE DIFFERENCE
